Where Mathematics
Meets Momentum.

Academic-grade methods, applied to real operations in mining, retail, logistics, and manufacturing.

Our Mission

"To make rigorous mathematical methods usable for operations teams. Solid models, validated on real data, replacing guesswork in day-to-day decisions."

Lontra was founded by Juan Pablo Morandé, who saw that real operational problems — from berth allocation to freight pricing — outpace what off-the-shelf software can model. We build optimization and simulation systems tailored to each client's actual constraints.

The Lontra Method

Our Methodology

Data-driven decisions, validated in real operations.

database

1. Data Synthesis

Aggregating and cleaning the client's operational data into a working model of how the system actually behaves.

functions

2. Algorithmic Rigor

Developing custom heuristics and mixed-integer programming models designed specifically for your unique constraints.

insights

3. Decision Impact

Translating model outputs into operational decisions your team can act on, with explicit metrics for what improves and by how much.

Methodology validated in defense, port logistics, manufacturing, and supply chain projects.
